Drink, and Mom sells your car!

Date: 01.11.08 | by Judge Tom.
That’s right. Earlier this month an Iowa mom found alcohol under the front seat of her 19-year-old son’s car.  No ticket was issued or charges filed.  There was no court involved, only the teen’s mother.

Jane Hambleton placed an ad in the local newspaper that read:  “Totally uncool parents who obviously don’t love teenage son, selling his car. . . .Call meanest mom on the planet.”  And this was after owning the car for just three weeks. When she gave the car to her son, Steven, it came with just two rules: no booze and always lock it. Steven, a student at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, explained that the alcohol was a friend’s and not his. But his mother stuck with the rules and he violated one of them.
